Summary

İrem Sençok is a Turkish author-illustrator specialized in children's publishing. She was born in Chelmsford, raised in Istanbul, and studied in a French secondary school. She received her Art & Design BFA with honors from Yeditepe University, and MA in Children's Book Illustration from Goldsmiths University of London. She has been living in London since 2022.

Overcoming the challenges of her multicultural childhood experiences have helped shape her creative process and become a large influence in her art practice. She hopes that children who experienced moving to a different country can find comfort in her first picture book 'Lucy's New Home.'
